Grants for transmedia projects
Call for Entries
The “Call for Transmedia Projects” is a pilot project promoted by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and the Federal Office of Culture, organised in collaboration with the Solothurn Film Festival and the Foundation for Professional Training and Audiovisual Media (FOCAL).

The "Call for Transmedia Projects" is intended for persons with innovative artistic projects which develop a complex fictional or documentary narrative on a minimum of two platforms. The aim of this call for proposals is to promote the creation of new digital narrative forms. The content of the projects must be explicitly geared for use on the Internet and mobile devices. In addition, they should feature at least one audiovisual component (film, web series, web documentary, video blog, etc.) and one interactive component (video game, interactive comics, augmented reality, social networks, etc.). The individual components contain specific, complementary contents. Projects which integrate the public into participatory processes are especially welcome.

Four international experts assess the submitted dossiers in a judging process carried out in two stages. A maximum of 10 dossiers will be selected in the first round, each of which will receive support amounting to CHF 10,000 for further project development. In a second round, the experts will then decide on which projects receive a further grant amounting to a maximum of CHF 100,000 per project. The selected projects will receive specialist support in workshops. Applicants are notified of the decision via email. Explanations for selection, or non-selection, will be not given.
